Why we started the Unbreakable Youth Center
The Unbreakable Youth Center was born from my own lived experiences and the values that shaped me. As a retired veteran, indie author, and PhD scholar in Developmental Psychology, I’ve spent years studying how young people grow, heal, and form their identities. More than anything, my daughter is the reason this space exists. She inspires me to build a world where youth feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves.

What makes us different
The Unbreakable Youth Center is different because it was built with intention, lived experience, and heart. It’s a trauma‑informed, identity‑affirming online space created by a retired veteran and PhD scholar in Developmental Psychology who understands what young people need to feel safe, supported, and seen. Inspired by my daughter and grounded in real research, the center blends emotional support, creative expression, and community in a way most youth programs don’t. Young people gain a protected space to grow, build confidence, learn real-life skills, and connect with peers who understand them — all while being affirmed for who they are.

Who we serve and what they need
The Unbreakable Youth Center is designed for young people ages 10–21 who are navigating emotional, social, or identity‑based challenges. We especially want to reach youth who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure of who they are becoming. Many are dealing with anxiety, school pressure, shifting friendships, family stress, or questions about their identity — including LGBTQ+ youth who need a space where they feel affirmed and safe.
"The Unbreakable Youth Center has been a lifeline for my child. They've found a place where they feel completely understood and empowered."
